Cross Country Club
Who: Second Grade-Fifth Grade
Time: 3:30-4:00 (This is a perfect opportunity for students who wait until 4:15 to get on
the bus to get in a little extra physical activity.)
Why:
*To have fun
*To allow students to learn to enjoy running and discover a way
to keep fit for a lifetime
*To have an introduction to running in both an
individual and group setting.
*Help students understand that exercise can be done in a fun way and exercise is good
for everybody. Each day the students will be running different courses and
playing different running games.
The games/courses allow the students to set new goals to complete and
give each child the opportunity to challenge themselves in a different way.
Incentives will be provided to help the students complete their goals. At the end of the Cross
Country Club Season students will have the opportunity to participate in a fun 1.0 mile race.
Students will have to follow school rules and procedures while participating in the club.
